This Friday is a Casual Dress Day for grades K-1-2-3. We ask that each student bring one box of oatmeal or Jiffy Mix to donate to Deacon’s Pantry. Grades 4-5 will have their Casual Day on Thursday, January 21, and bring in packs of diapers.
Grades 4-5 will take a Pro-Life Trip on Friday. They will visit First Choice for Women in Muncie and see the Safe Haven Baby Box at Muncie Fire Station #1. They will also attend the Solemn Observance of Roe vs. Wade Mass at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Our entire school will pray for the protection of unborn children.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, we are unable to hold our Movie Night on January 29. We are hopeful that we can have our scheduled Movie Night on April 23.
Catholic Schools Week is February 1-5. I will pass out schedules soon. Please review the schedule carefully, as we have daily special dress days.
Student Council is sponsoring “Penny Battles” to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Children should bring in coins and/or cash donations to their classroom teacher. We’ll collect donations starting January 28 and ending on February 4, at 9:00AM.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, we are unable to hold our February 1 Skating Party at Gibson’s. We are hopeful that we can have our scheduled Skating Party on April 12.
On Ash Wednesday (February 17) three Masses will be celebrated at Saint Lawrence Church. Our regular All-School Mass will be at 8:00AM, with additional Masses at 12:15PM and 6:30PM. Also, Saint Francis of Assisi Church will have Masses at 7:00AM, 12:15PM, and 5:30PM. Saint Mary Church will have Masses at 8:15AM and 5:30PM. Face coverings are required at all Masses.
Our DRIVE-THRU ONLY Dan’s Fish Fry on Friday, March 5, at the K of C Hall from 5:00PM-8:00PM. We need quite a few volunteers to help. Please plan to pitch in--it’s a fun event that benefits our school, along with Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic School in Kenya! Each family will have a chance to sell tickets. I’ll pass out ticket packets soon.
