We need a Boys’ Basketball coach. If interested, contact me ASAP. First practice is Oct 14.
We welcomed two new students last week. We’re glad to have Emilee in grade 1, and her sister, Elizabeth, in grade 2. Welcome to SLCS, girls!
Last week, all SLCS students had a vison screening. We had a few students who struggled with the screening. Their parents/guardians have been notified in writing.
We thank the Middletown Lions Club for donating dictionaries to our grade 3 students.
Volleyball will play a 4:30PM scrimmage at Holy Cross in Anderson this Thursday. We need parent drivers. We’ll leave SLCS together at 3:15PM.
Fall Festival setup is Friday, 5:00PM-8:00PM, and Saturday morning, 8:00-11:00AM. Fall Festival is this Saturday (11:00AM-7:00PM) and Sunday (11:00AM-5:00PM), at the corner of East Washington and Monroe, just north of Cornerstone Center for the Arts.
We’re collecting donated items for Fall Festival. If you haven’t already donated, we ask you to bring the following to school immediately:
-any large cooler we can borrow for the weekend (put your name on it, please)
-a case of bottled water
-a 24-pack of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Mtn Dew, Dr. Pepper, Coke, or Diet Coke
-a bag of individually-wrapped candy (no chocolate, no peanuts)
We need donated baked goods. Baked goods can be dropped off at SLCS starting tomorrow (Thursday). Baked goods should be finger-foods, as they will be sold individually. Bring your items already bagged in plastic sandwich or Ziploc bags, with 2-3 treats in each bag. Rice Krispie treats, brownies, cookies, and dessert bars are great. No cupcakes or items with icing (or any part that will melt if kept outside in warm weather).
