Sports Physicals . Thanks, Dr. Cropper!
Volleyball skill building begins today, August 22. Volleyball practices will take place from 4:30-5:30PM, followed by a
Parent Meeting from 5:30-5:45PM. Any girl staying in After-School Care until practice begins will be given a snack and charged $6 for the day.
This Friday, August 23, is our first
Casual Dress Day. We ask that each student bring
one or more jars of peanut butter to benefit the Deacon’s Pantry (no glass jars, please). Please review the Casual Day rules for clothing found on our website:
www.stlawrencemuncie.org >> Parents & Students >> Uniform Policy
This Friday, August 23, is the first of our six
early-release days this year. Children can be picked up at 1:00PM. Any child not picked up by 1:15PM will go to After-School Care and will NOT be charged unless they stay after 3:15PM.
Our school will have a booth at
Meridian Health FamFest on Saturday, August 24. Visit us between 10:00-1:00PM. For information, check:

Our next Parent-Teacher Organization (P.T.O.) meeting will be
Monday, August 26, 6:30-7:30PM. We had a very nice crowd of 18 people at our first meeting on August 12!
Friday, August 30, is our first
Movie Night. We will have four Movie Nights this year. Movie Nights begin after school and end at 5:30PM, and they are held at the school. These evenings serve as fundraisers for our classrooms. A blue form will be distributed to explain the details. Registrations/payment are due 9:00AM on the day of Movie Night.
We will not be in school on
Monday, September 2 (Labor Day).
Wednesday, September 4 is our first
Picture Day. All students will have their picture taken, at no charge, for the hallway display board and yearbook. Families who wish to order picture packets may fill out the order form or order online. Order forms, as well as directions for online ordering, will be sent home. No family is obligated to buy pictures.
For the September 4 Picture Day, students have
two options regarding clothing:
White Shirt Wednesday (navy pants for boys, jumpers/skirts for girls).
Students who order a picture packet may wear formal clothes that are not school uniforms (dress for girls, dress shirt/tie/sport jacket for boys). Students who choose this option may wear dress clothes all day, including at Mass. Remember that heels, dangling jewelry and makeup are never allowed at SLCS.
Make plans to help out at our
Fall Festival on September 14-15. It’s critically important that every family sell as many raffle tickets as possible. Turn in sold tickets and money quickly, do not wait until the last day to turn them in. We have plenty more in the office!
For Fall Festival, we are in need of some donated items. Please start bringing 12-packs or 24-packs of Coke, Diet Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, and Root Beer. We can also use bottled water, as well as any individually-wrapped candy that does not include nuts or chocolate.
Our Annual
Family Day and Religion Fair is Monday, September 30, 1:30-3:00PM. This is a big event for our school, and each class will present their Religion Fair projects. Please make plans now to attend, and feel free to invite family and friends. More details will come as the event draws nearer.
