On Tuesday, we welcomed
Jacelynn (Jaycee) to our kindergarten class! Our kindergarten is now full, but we’re still enrolling in grades 1, 2, and 3 until August 31.
Our first
Movie Night is this Friday, 3:15-5:30PM. Blue registration sheets and payment should be turned in by Friday at 9:00AM. Today, we’ll send home blue sheets with any student who has not already turned one in. We’re showing
The Incredibles (2004).
Our school will have a booth at
Meridian Health FamFest on Saturday, August 25. Visit us between 10:00-1:00PM. For information, check:
www.meridianhs.org/Events/FamFest
Volleyball will play a scrimmage at Holy Cross in Anderson on Monday, August 27.
We need as many parent drivers as possible. We’ll leave SLCS together at 3:15PM.
The Tax Credit Scholarship helps many of our students afford their education. If you would like to learn about donating, as well as the
major tax incentives for donors, attend an information session August 29, 6:30-8:00PM at Saint Agnes Hall (301 South Hackley).
Fall Festival organizational meeting is Thursday, August 30, 5:30-6:30PM, at school.
We will not be in school on
Monday, September 3 (Labor Day).
September 5 is our first
Picture Day of the year. All students will have their picture taken, at no charge, for the hallway display board and yearbook. Families who wish to order picture packets may fill out the order form or order online. Order forms, as well as directions for online ordering, will be sent home. No family is obligated to buy pictures.
For the September 5 Picture Day, students have
two options regarding clothing:
White Shirt Wednesday (navy pants for boys, jumpers/skirts for girls).
Since you may be ordering a picture packet, students may also wear formal clothes that are not school uniforms (dress for girls, dress shirt/tie/sport jacket for boys). Heels, dangling jewelry and makeup are never allowed at SLCS.
Make plans to help out at our
Fall Festival on September 15-16. It’s important that every family sell as many raffle tickets as possible. Turn in sold tickets and money right away, do not wait until the last day to turn them in. We have plenty more in the office!
Fall Festival committee chairpersons will soon begin asking each family to sign up to help at Fall Festival.
When they do, please be generous with your time. Remember that many of the great things we have at SLCS come from P.T.O. fundraisers!
We had a very successful Casual Dress Day last Friday. We were able to make an impressive donation of peanut butter to Deacon’s Pantry. Our next Casual Day will be
September 14, where each child is asked to bring in one box of granola bars or one box of protein bars. Thank you for modeling the Christian virtue of Charity to your children!
Thank you to Dr. Cropper for conducting the Sports Physicals on Monday.
All adult volunteers must complete the
Safe and Sacred program. You are not permitted to volunteer at school or drive for field trips without completing Safe and Sacred. To do this online training, go to:
