Parent/Teacher Conferences will be October 21-22. Parents have three options: 1) an in-person meeting, 2) a phone conference, or 3) a Zoom meeting. To sign up, go to www.stlawrencemuncie.org and click the green “Parent/Teacher Conferences” button.
Friday, October 23, is a Casual Dress Day. We ask that each student bring one or more packs of bath soap (no squeeze bottles) to benefit the Deacon’s Pantry. ALSO, October 23 is “In the Pink Day” for Breast Cancer Awareness. Mrs. Jayne Waechter, our school secretary, will donate $5.00 to the fight against breast cancer for EVERY student who wears mostly pink on October 23!
Box Tops submission deadline is almost here! Please turn in Box Tops before October 28.
Picture Retake Day for individual students is Wednesday, October 28. Students should wear Mass clothing (not shorts). Class pictures will also be taken on October 28. Order forms for class pictures will be sent home after Fall Break.
For “Socktober”, we’re collecting new CHILDREN’S socks, hats and gloves to donate to Muncie Mission. Bring items to school through October 30. Just 10 school days left!
The final day to wear shorts to school (in 2020) is Friday, October 30. Shorts may be worn to school again starting Monday, March 1, 2021.
SLCS does not celebrate Halloween. Children should not wear Halloween makeup or costumes to school. All classes will celebrate All Saints Day with a party on October 30.
The week of October 26-30 is our annual Red Ribbon Campaign. Please encourage your child(ren) to participate in the themed days:
Monday, 10.26 Red Shirt Day: wear a red shirt to declare you are drug-free (wear regular uniform pants/shorts, belts, black shoes and white socks)
Tuesday, 10.27 Drug-Free Team Day: wear favorite sports team shirt/jersey (wear regular uniform pants/shorts, belts, black shoes and white socks)
Wednesday, 10.28 Mass clothes: (white polos, dress shoes, pants/skirts/jumpers) (students will receive free popsicles at the end of lunch time)
Thursday, 10.29 Class Color Day:K-pink, 1-yellow, 2-green, 3-blue, 4-orange, 5-purple (wear regular uniform pants/shorts, belts, black shoes and white socks)
Friday, 10.30 Wild Hair Day:wigs, hats, and temporary hair coloring allowed (otherwise, Casual Day rules apply)

Please send children to school with a coat every day. Even on brisk days, we generally go outside for recess. Remember that children may wear any style and color of coat for recess, but only the grey SLCS jackets may be worn during class time.
