Our Girls’ Basketball team will play their
first tournament game tomorrow at North View School (opponent will be EWA). Our game begins at 3:30PM.
We need helpers for this Friday’s
Mystery Dinner and Auction. If you can help with meal service, please be at the K of C Hall by 6:00PM wearing black clothes.
Due to school being canceled on November 15, 2018,
we will be in session on Monday, February 18 (President’s Day). All students should pack a lunch.
SLCS is excited to welcome
Cornelius and Mary Dollison to our school as we celebrate Black History Month. The Dollisons will visit our gym on Friday, February 22, 8:15-9:30AM, to do activities with children and answer questions. All SLCS families and friends are welcome to attend this free event. Grades 2-5 will participate.
Yearbook order forms and payment are due by Friday, March 1. You can also order online (instructions are on the form).
Families may enter “Shout-Outs” to be printed in the yearbook at no charge. Create your “Shout Out”, via the link I sent January 15. “Shout-Outs” are due Friday, March 1.

Movie Night is Friday, March 1, from 3:15-5:30PM. We are showing
Ralph Breaks the Internet (PG) and serving Nachos. Mrs. Cope will send home blue registration sheets soon. Forms are due on Friday, March 1, by 9:00AM.
The next P.T.O. meeting will be
Tuesday, March 5, at school, from 6:00PM until 7:00PM.
Families received
18 tickets for our Dan’s Fish Fry (March 15). Look over the enclosed forms and sell all of your tickets. Tickets and money should be turned in by March 8. If you lose your tickets or money, or do not turn in unsold tickets or money, the school will bill you for the value of the missing tickets.

Student Council recently collected donations for the Muncie Mission’s
Walk a Mile in My Shoes, as well as the
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We had $513.45 in total donations, and our grades 4-5 classroom won a pizza party for raising the most!
On February 13, I sent an email regarding
SLCS’s 2019-2020 calendar dates. Please review it carefully, and take special note that we will have a 3-day Fall Break (not a whole week).
