Chartwell’s will not be open January 3-4. All students should
pack a lunch on those days.
Congratulations to our November Virtues in Practice recipient, Kautana Searcy (grade 1)! This student modeled Humility (Accepting your limitations and God-given talents).
“Kautana recognizes her strengths and weaknesses in the classroom. She's not afraid to ask for help, and will work tirelessly during class to complete assignments. She works hard at her own pace, rather than competing with the pace of others.” –Miss Gardner
Our December Virtue is Patience (Waiting or enduring without complaint).
After Christmas, our students will begin using heart rate monitors in PE class. This exciting addition to our curriculum will allow children to track their physical activity and chart their progress over time. We’re happy to be making this addition to our already-robust technology and PE programs. The new monitors were made possible through a grant, as well as substantial help from our Saint Lawrence P.T.O. Plan to help work a shift at our major P.T.O. fundraisers, such as Mystery Dinner (February 15) and Dan’s Fish Fry (March 15), to ensure that we have funds for future initiatives.
Tickets for
Mystery Dinner and Auction (February 15) are on sale via our school website.
They Said It! We recently asked our grades 1-2-3 students about their favorite part of Saint Lawrence. Here’s a few of their responses:
I like Tech because Mr. Hart is fun, and I like Miss Gardner she is fun, too. -Irah, grade 2
I love gym because we get to play baseball. -Bryson, grade 1
My best things are gym and art because they are fun. Art is fun because we get to paint and draw. Gym is fun because we get to play Shark in the Middle. -Genesis, grade 2
Please periodically submit
Box Tops for Education to the school office. This is an ongoing fundraiser that benefits our Tuition Assistance Fund.
All locations of Vogue Cleaners will give a
20% discount on dry cleaning our uniform plaid jumpers and skirts. They will restore the pleats as well. Mention “Saint Lawrence Catholic School” when dropping off your garments to get the discount.
