Parent/Teacher Conferences continue tomorrow. To sign-up for a time, click on the large green
“Parent | Teacher Conferences” button on our school website.
Quarter 1 grade reports will be given to parents during Parent/Teacher Conferences.
This Friday is a Casual Dress Day. We ask that each student bring
one pack of bath soap (bars only) to donate to Deacon’s Pantry. This is a full day of school, 3:00PM dismissal.
Our next
P.T.O. meeting will be Tuesday, October 23, 6:00-7:00PM at the school.
Next week (October 22-26) is our annual Red Ribbon Campaign. A flyer with details was emailed to parents yesterday, and a red hardcopy was sent home with each child today. Please encourage your children to participate in the themed days:

Our
Box Tops in Education contest continues through October 26. The class that brings in the most will receive a Hot Chocolate & Cookie Party.
Grade 3 is in the lead with 138.
There is
no school on Monday, October 29. Our teachers will be at the Indiana Non-Public Educators Conference in Indianapolis. School resumes on Tuesday, October 30.
The
final day to wear shorts (in 2018) is Tuesday, October 30. Shorts may be worn again starting March 1, 2019.
Picture retake day for individual students is October 31 (two weeks from today). This will be “White Shirt Wednesday” even though we don’t go to Mass. If you need an order form, contact the office.
Class pictures will also be taken on October 31. Order forms for class pictures were sent home earlier this week.
SLCS does not celebrate Halloween. Children shouldn’t wear makeup or costumes to school on October 31. All classes will celebrate All Saints Day with a party on November 1.
There’s only ten more school days of “Socktober”! New packs of child and adult socks should be brought to Miss Smith’s room. All students who donate socks will be entered into a drawing for prizes at the end of the month.
Last day to donate socks is October 31.
On All Souls Day (November 2) our Choir will participate in a Mass at Elm Ridge Cemetery from 11:45-2:00. Mr. Hart will communicate details with Choir parents.
Our next
Movie Night is Friday, November 2, from 3:15-5:30PM. We are showing
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (PG) and serving Nachos. Mrs. Cope will send home a blue registration sheet on Monday. Forms and payment are due November 2 by 9:00AM.
Our
Veterans Day Dinner is November 9! If you have served or are serving in the U.S. military, or you have a relative or friend who has served,
send in a photograph for our slideshow by November 2. We need the person’s name, branch, years of service, and their relation to one of our students. Email your photo to
e.smith@stlawrencemuncie.org. If you bring in a hard copy photo, include your contact information so it can be returned.
Make plans now to attend our Veteran’s Day Dinner on November 9. A flyer was emailed yesterday. Please encourage family, friends and neighbors to come. Please consider volunteering to help with serving, cleanup, etc.
Many hands make light work!
On the original Boys Basketball schedule, I mistakenly listed the November 15 contest as a 5:00PM Scrimmage. This is actually a
game that begins at 3:30PM at Saint Lawrence.
Our P.T.O. earned a profit of
$6,689.74 at this year’s Fall Festival. Thank you for working shifts, donating items, and buying/selling raffle tickets!
