THANK YOU to everyone who supported our
P.T.O. Fall Festival over the weekend. Thanks for working shifts, donating items, purchasing raffle tickets, and simply being present. I enjoyed seeing dozens of familiar faces from our school at the event, and I appreciated your work and generosity. Thank you for making our festival a success!
Our volleyball team defeated West View last Thursday (6-25, 27-25, 15-10). The
next game is tomorrow (Thursday) at home versus South View. Good luck, girls!
Our first
Skating Party is tomorrow (Thursday), at Gibson’s Skating Arena, 2610 South Mock Avenue (a few blocks from school) from 6:00 - 8:00PM. All are welcome, children do not have to be current Saint Lawrence students to attend. See the yellow flyer that was distributed, as well as the September 12 email, for details.
Family Day is Monday, September 24, 1:30-3:00PM. Plan to have as many family members as possible at the event,
each student’sentire family is encouraged to participate. This includes parents, step-parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. Families are invited to tour our school, meet the staff, and hear presentations from each class about their Religion Fair project. Students have been hard at work creating these displays, and are hopeful that their family members will come to see what they have made. There will also be a musical performance in the gym. Each student has a part to play in the Religion Fair.
Our
Scholastic Book Fair starts Monday, September 24 (same as Family Day). The fair will be open September 24-27. Check out the great deals on new books and educational items! There will be
only one Book Fair this school year, so stock up on Christmas gifts.
We are in need of an
assistant Boys’ Basketball coach. If you are interested, please let Mr. Frey know. The position needs to be filled by October 1.

Shadow Day at Pope John Paul II Middle School was a success. If you have any questions about enrolling your child at
PJP next year for middle school, please let me know. I would be happy to facilitate a discussion with Mrs. Schlabach, PJP principal.
