All SLCS students had
vision screening on Tuesday. The screener did not detect any vision issues with our students. If you suspect that your child may have vison challenges, please schedule an ophthalmologist appointment immediately.
Midterm grade reports were sent home with each child in grades K, 1, 3, 4 and 5 today. Grade 2 will be sent on Thursday.
Our volleyball team began their season yesterday at Burris. Our team fought hard and played well, ultimately losing (25-22, 11-25, 15-5). The next game is

During our Professional Development session this Friday, our teachers and staff will be learning about school safety. Three local police officers will train staff on how to best react to an active shooter situation.
Of course, our continued prayer is that an armed person will never attack Saint Lawrence. It is in the best interest of our school family that we prepare for the worst, hoping that we’ll never have to use the skills learned.
It’s important that every family sell as many
Fall Festival raffle tickets as possible. Turn in sold tickets and money right away, please. Fall Festival is
Saturday (11:00AM-7:00PM) and
Sunday (11:00AM-5:00PM), at the corner of East Washington and Monroe.
We’re collecting donated items for
Fall Festival. We ask each family to bring the following to school, starting right away:
-any
large cooler we can borrow for the weekend (put your name on it, please)
-a case of
bottled water -a
24-pack of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Mtn Dew, Dr. Pepper, Coke, or Diet Coke
-a
bag of candy (no chocolate, no peanuts)
We need donated
baked goods, too. Baked goods can be dropped off at SLCS starting tomorrow (Thursday). Baked goods should be finger-foods, as they will be sold individually. Bring your items already bagged in plastic sandwich or Ziploc bags, with 2-3 treats in each bag. Rice Krispie treats, brownies, cookies, and dessert bars are great. No cupcakes or items with icing or any part that will melt if kept outside in warm weather.
Fall Festival setup will be Friday, 5:00PM-8:00PM, and Saturday morning, 8:00-11:00AM.
